Hello! I am the Executive Director of Sprout Yoga. I’ve been doing yoga for over 17 years, and am a certified yoga instructor. I teach in Media, PA and other locations and I volunteer my time to teach trauma survivors yoga, because I, like Sprout Yoga, believe that everyone, everywhere deserves to feel at ease with themselves and their body.

Thank you for this site. I have been diagnosed with PTSD and suffer from an eating disorder – I have also been practicing yoga off and on for 10 yrs. I want very much to pull myself out of the eating disorder; it goes against everything I believe in and is a very big stumbling block in my life. I have receintly decided to look for yoga asanas that may specifically target my problem. Are there any asanas you would recomend? Or a web site?
Thanks again,
Michelle

Thanks for your kind words Michelle. We are working on a series of short videos to be published on our website that would address specific EDs (e.g., a video for Complusive Overeating, a video for bulemia, a video for anorexia, a video for trauma) that we hope to have going by the end of the year. We are also working on having specific meditations for eating disorders that we hope to have on the site soon.
In the mean time, feel free to email me at maggie@sproutyoga.org and I’d be happy to work with you on creating a series of asana that you can do at home.
